ABOUT US
Gynaecological Cancer League (GCL) is a special interest group connected with the New Zealand Society for Oncology (NZSO) and New Zealand Gynae Cancer Group (NZGCG). GCL is comprised of clinicians and scientists working in gynaecologic Oncology, gynaecological cancer translational research, and gynaecologic genomics, across New Zealand. Both organizations (NZSO and NZGCG) are dedicated to the clinico-scientific interactions and collaborations to transform translation research. With this common interest, GCL aims to bring together the leaders and members of gynaecological oncology across New Zealand in a unique forum to communicate, share ideas and work together on a national level. The GCLs objective is to encourage and conduct rigorous clinic-scientific interaction and debate focused upon the scientific advancements and clinical challenges in gynaecological malignancies.
Some of the major activities include:
- Annual Gynae Cancer Summit – usually in Mid year
- Annual Gynmae Cancer Symposium
- Patient-centered discussions
- Exploration of outcome-driven research collaborations
- Forming a one-window database for gynaecological cancer news and resources
- Training Workshops for advancing and improving the study of gynecology cancer research
